FEATURED PROJECT
Early Trumpet Educational Foundational School System
School Management System • Software Engineering Project
IN PROGRESS
Project Overview
The Early Trumpet Educational Foundational School System is a school management platform being developed to help schools organize and manage their daily academic and administrative activities in one system.
The system is designed to manage students, teachers, parents, classes, subjects, attendance, assessments, grades, and academic records.
The Problem
Many school activities can become difficult to organize when student information, attendance, grades, assessments, and communication are handled through separate manual processes.
This project explores how a centralized school management system can bring these activities together in a structured digital environment.
The Solution
The Early Trumpet School Management System is designed as a centralized platform where authorized users can manage and access the information relevant to their responsibilities.
Administrators can manage school information, students, teachers, subjects, classes, and academic records, while teachers and parents can access the information provided to them through their respective accounts.
Why I Built It
The idea for this system comes from a real interest in improving how schools organize information and manage their daily academic activities.
The project also gives me an opportunity to apply software engineering, database design, programming, and system development concepts to a practical problem.

Development Status
🟡 In Progress
The project is currently being developed and tested as a real-world software engineering project. Development is focused on building the database structure, application logic, user roles, and core school management features.
System Architecture
The system is being designed as a structured application with separate layers for the user interface, application logic, authentication and authorization, and database management.
- User Interface
- Application Logic
- Authentication & Authorization
- Database Layer
Security & Access Control
The system is being designed with role-based access so that administrators, teachers, and parents only access the information and functions relevant to their responsibilities.
- Administrator Access
- Teacher Access
- Parent/Guardian Access
- Protected Academic Records
- Controlled Grade Submission
User Roles
Administrator
Manages students, teachers, classes, subjects, academic records, and system configuration.
Teacher
Accesses assigned classes and subjects and manages permitted academic activities.
Parent / Guardian
Views relevant student information, attendance, grades, assignments, and school information.
Academic Workflow
- Administrator registers the student.
- The student is assigned to a class and receives the appropriate subjects.
- Teachers are assigned to their classes and subjects.
- Teachers record attendance and academic assessments.
- Grades are stored in the academic records.
- Parents or guardians can view permitted student information.
Assessment & Grading
The system is designed to support the school's assessment structure and calculate the final subject result from the defined assessment components.
- Quiz — 10%
- Assignment — 10%
- Class Work — 20%
- Test — 60%
- Final Result — 100%
Academic Year Structure
The system is designed around a school year running from September through June.
- 1st Period
- 2nd Period
- 3rd Period & Exam
- 4th Period
- 5th Period
- 6th Period & Exam
Project Timeline
Planning & Requirements
Defining the school's needs, users, workflows, and system requirements.
Database Design

Testing the system with real users and gathering feedback.
Production Deployment
Preparing the completed system for real-world school use.
- Planning & Requirements — Define the school's needs and system requirements.
- Database Design — Design the database structure and relationships.
- Core Development — Build the major school management modules.
- Testing & Security — Test functionality, access control, and data handling.
- Pilot Deployment — Test the system in a real school environment.
- Production Deployment — Prepare the system for real-world use.
Future Vision
The long-term goal is to develop the Early Trumpet Educational Foundational School System into a reliable school management platform that can be deployed and adapted for real schools.
Future development may include notifications, reporting, parent communication, online assignments, dashboards, cloud deployment, and additional administrative tools.
Database Design
The system uses a relational database structure designed to organize school information and maintain relationships between students, teachers, parents, classes, subjects, attendance, assessments, and grades.
